Stray Rescue of St. Louis Touches our Hearts

During the month of October, ASG collected items to donate to Stray Rescue of St. Louis (www.strayrescue.org), a local no-kill animal shelter.  Clients, staff and friends contributed dog and cat food, treats, cleaning products, leashes, and toys to help our four-legged friends that are housed in this organization’s shelters around the city.  Tim Albietz of Accurate Measurement Systems won the drawing for the St. Louis Ram’s football tickets that were donated by Roland Williams of Youth Lifeline America (www.youthlifeline.org).  Accurate Measurement Systems (www.accuratemeasurementsystems.com) donated an amazing amount of items to our drive!

In addition to the donated items, ASG donated their time on Friday, October 29th by visiting the Pine Street location and volunteering to walk the dogs there.  The staff at the shelter were awesome and after giving us a quick orientation, we were allowed to begin taking the animals for walks around the city streets.  This was an awesome experience for all of us.  We were awed and amazed by what this organization is doing for the lives of the abandoned, stray, and abused dogs in our city.  While not all of the dogs were great leash walkers, they all touched our hearts!  We hope to schedule another day to walk the dogs in the near future.
