The 2012 versions of QuickBooks are now available!

Posted in: QuickBooks by paul on September 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

New features in the QuickBooks 2012 Pro, Premier and Mac editions help entrepreneurs save time managing their finances so they can focus on running their businesses.

QuickBooks 2012 Pro and Premier help small businesses uncover new business insights, get organized and save steps on repetitive tasks. New tools and enhancements include:

  • Calendar View, Excel Integration Refresh and Contributed Reports
  • Lead Center, Document Center and Inventory Center
  • Batch Timesheets, Batch Invoicing for Time and Expenses and One-click Transactions:

QuickBooks for Mac 2012 introduces a redesigned user interface that delivers the experience Mac users expect. More than 50 new enhancements in the newest version give small businesses faster access to important information and simplify multi-step accounting tasks. In addition, new users receive one hour of free technical phone support through the new Get Started Right program. Enhancements include:

  • New User Interface
  • Customer and Vendor Info Panels, Transaction List and Improved Search Batch
  • Online Banking Transaction Entry and Progress Invoicing

Something to remember with the introduction of new QuickBooks 2012 products is that the live technical support and add-on business services such as payroll, credit card processing, QuickBooks Email, and online banking were discontinued for QuickBooks for Windows 2008, QuickBooks 2007 for Mac, and a few other products as of May 31, 2011.

QuickBooks and Intuit are committed to developing easy, straightforward financial tools that help you today and grow with you tomorrow. But it’s a balancing act – making QuickBooks better and easier to use while still supporting older versions. So they offer support for the current version of QuickBooks and the two previous versions. If you don’t make use of live technical support or any of the add-on services, and are happy with your current version of QuickBooks, you can continue to use it.
